The Museum of Kitschy Stitches is a full-color showcase of the hideous and shocking (and all-too real!) knitting and crocheting horrors from eras gone by. Museum “curator” Stitchy McYarnpants (aka Debbie Brisson) has trolled knitting patterns, advertisements, and catalogs for the most groan-inspiring crimes against hand-crafted fashion ever to assault the senses: sci-fi inspired headgear from the 1940s, gender-bending sweater sets from the ‘60s, and groovy outerwear from the ‘70s. Each photograph is accompanied by McYarnpants’s trademark snark: witty, intelligent, side-splitting captions that guide you through this strange and wonderful world. The Museum of Kitschy Stitches will have crafters and noncrafters alike…in stitches.
