This publishing adventure could have been called “At a snail’s pace”, because we don’t like to run, or maybe “in fits and starts”, because it will not be easy, or even “somersault” because –let’s be honest– who would open a publishing house given the actual situation? But here we are and our name is A buen paso because we want to advance, to publish one book, and then another and another. Just like someone walking, step by step. A safe way to reach any place. In A buen paso we care about the text, we care about the story it tells and how it tells it, we care about the literature and the uselessness that seems to characterize many good things. We also care (how couldn’t we?) about the illustrations, which have to be electric, brave, surprising, but above all, we want text and images to walk hand in hand, and act like one being. This is A buen paso, a bet that we hope –just like the name says– will lead the reader to a better world, full of wonderful pages, unbelievable creaturas, and not prejudiced readers. A Buen Paso publishes around 5 to 7 titles per year. Sea of Stories has been representing them since its start in 2009!
