John was such a crafted person. He could build simple houses
using only earth and hay. He sang with the birds and could speak
the language of the flowers. John was generous and helpful, and
when everybody had worked hard all day and felt tired, he would
invite people to sit under a big tree and tell folk stories about a
dancing party that took place in the sky with all kinds of animals. One day a huge tempest
devastated the neighborhood nearby, and John quickly organized a group of friends to rebuild all
the houses and help feed and clean the animals. When time had passed, and John was a very old
man, with a long, white beard, the local people decided to pay him homage: they named a bird,
who built the strongest nest of all, after him. The bird was called John, the nest builder.
